Learn how to read a chart & practice stranded colourwork with 3 colours while knitting the Clayoquot Hat by Tin Can Knits. A fun quick knit project which makes a fantastic gift!

We have been given permission to use this free pattern for this class by the designer. Please visit their website and check out their other designs!

Prerequisites: Experience with knitting, purling, decreasing stitches; and knitting in the round. This should not be your first hat. The On the C train is a great first hat class to take before this class.

Materials Needed:

  • 3 colours of DK Weight yarn such as Estelle SW DK. Lighter colours are recommended help you the stitches better.

         MC: (Adult Small 120, Medium 140, Large 160) yds  CC1: 40 yds  CC2: 20 yds

  • 3.5mm/US4 and 4mm/US6 16” circular needle in both sizes
  • 4mm/US6 DPNs in larger size or magic loop with longer circular needle
  • Stitch markers & a darning needle

Materials can be purchased at Baaad Anna’s Yarn Store.

DEC DATES: Tuesdays, Dec 3 and 10th from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Jackie is an avid knitter, fibre artist & teacher. She appreciates how knitting keeps your brain sharp while still being so meditative, restorative and creative. She loves teaching knitting to new students and sharing all the helpful tools, tips and tricks she’s learned over the years.
